ZUG – A textile treatment developed to combat the spread of coronavirus has been proven 99.99 per cent effective by researchers at both Freie Universität Berlin and ITA RWTH Aachen. 

The technology, created by Swiss hygiene firm Livinguard, is positively charged on the molecular level and so, when in contact with the negatively charged virus, has been found to successfully destroy SARS-CoV-2 without the aid of silver.

Applied on personal protective equipment or upholstery, it’s deemed an advantageous solution to have as countries adapt to life with more stringently enforced health guidelines.
