ZURICH - Swiss textile technology business HeiQ and outdoor apparel brand Patagonia have linked up to launch mint oil-based odour control for fabrics to reduce environmental impact.

The two companies say that 'HeiQ Fresh MNT' is twice as effective as industry standard odour reduction products, reducing the need to launder garments, thereby reducing water and detergent use, as well as microfibre pollution.

And its use of mint oil, a natural product from renewable sources, instead of the silver and other metals used in odour control textile technology, is also a more sustainable option.
