SCRANTON - US company Noble Biomaterials has received Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approval for the use of a bio-based formula containing citric acid to inhibit the growth of microbes and reduce odour on fabrics.
Citric acid is commonly used in the food and beverage industry, and also for pharmaceutical products and cleaning agents, but the EPA registration of Noble’s Ionic+ Botanical formula for textiles brings it into a new arena.
