EDINBURGH – According to PCI Wood Mackenzie’s Fibres Global Supply Demand Report 2017, global demand for fibres is set to increase by 3.2 per cent in 2018. In 2017, the world’s fibre demand estimate was an increase of 4.4 per cent, with overall man made fibre demand rising by 5.4 per cent and cotton demand rising by 1.7 per cent. Wool demand was the only fibre in the report that fell, falling by 0.1 per cent over the last year.
