CARY – An American start-up which develops antimicrobial yarns used in applications such as sportswear and hospital linens has announced an agreement with Japanese conglomerate, Mitsui, as it looks to broaden its distribution potential in the country.

PurThread, which produces antimicrobial threads by embedding EPA-registered silver salts into yarns, sees the country as an area for huge growth due to its nature of utilising the latest and most functional fabrics across industry.
