ANN ARBOR – Spider silk-based fibre producer Kraig Biocraft Laboratories has announced that its subsidiary in Vietnam, Prodigy Textiles, has taken possession of its facility in the country which will now be subject to retrofit.

The company, which received certification to operate in the Middle Eastern nation around a year ago to the date, will leverage what it says is an “optimal layout and existing infrastructure” to further develop its genetically modified silkworm fibres.
