BORÅS – Research teams at the University of Borås’ Science Park at Karolinska University Hospital to develop smart textiles capable of reducing the painful effects of various conditions in geriatric patients.  

The academics are to develop three technologically advanced prototypes for people with impaired muscle strength, mobility and balance issues, memory and sensitivity issues, as well as natural illnesses, to determine whether electrostimulating smart textiles can improve quality of life.
