MENTOR – Materials science company Avery Dennison has added new features to its atma.io traceability tool, as it looks to boost supply chain transparency and support the sector’s sustainability aspirations.

Launched to establish digital IDs of new products, the technology will now be capable of calculating carbon footprints, determining waste levels and generating alerts to combat suspicious activity.

Max Winograd, vice president of connected products at Avery Dennison Smartrac, commented: “The atma.io spring ‘22 release will empower businesses to get meaningful insights from data that has often been in silos, allowing them to make informed decisions in real-time that can dramatically transform their business agility and accelerate their performance across the bottom line, people, planet and profit.”
