ZURICH - Textile companies around the world are becoming increasingly optimistic for the future despite a “perfect storm” of high production costs and low demand, according to a new survey.

The International Textile Manufacturers Federation's (ITMF) latest global textile industry survey suggests that the business situation is still gloomy but better times might be ahead.

However, it admitted it was unclear whether its members genuinely believed that the economy was about to improve or whether they simply felt that it could not get any worse.
