WICHITA – Synthetic textile fibre supplier Invista will boost its nylon 6,6 fibre capacity in the USA with addition of a new US$65 million upgrade at its facility in South Carolina, which makes high-tenacity, specialty fibres for Cordura branded textiles sold in the domestic market. The upgrade will also include new options for solution dyed nylon products for a range of end-uses and comes as Invista's Cordura brand has teamed up with Carrington, the UK-based military, workwear and industrial protective fabrics company to offer a durable flame retardant technical twill fabric engineered with its NYCO fabric technology.
