ESPOO – The VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland has developed a new production method for hot embossing microscopic channel structures onto large areas of plastic film, for use in wearable technology and e-garments. VTT says its development is part of a wider aim to engineer a smart fabric which is adjustable through a mobile app when controlling body temperature.
