MASSACHUSETTS – An engineering student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has designed a sticker-like wearable device capable of detecting potential sexual assaults via in-built sensors. The technology – which is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth – can reportedly detect forcible disrobement and triggers a loud noise in a bid to alert nearby people, before a message is sent to phone contacts and the emergency services.
