BEAVERTON – Sportswear giant Nike has developed its latest footwear cushioning system based on ‘zonally-tuned pods’ of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) beads which, it’s thought, could provide greater versatility for the footwear brand in maximising comfort and energy return for different sporting applications.

Following on from the successes of the Nike Air and Nike React cushioning systems, Nike Joyride has been conceptualised and is expected to be first launched in various iterations next month.
