WIENER NEUDORF – Textile fibre manufacturer Lenzing has partnered with native business Palmers Textil AG to found Hygiene Austria, a new venture focuses solely on the development of personal protective equipment.
This partnership has, of course, been forged in light of current circumstances and will vie to produce upwards of 25 million protective facemasks by next month.
“We are not only connected by textile experience and ‘made in Austria’, but also by the will to act quickly now and to do something for the protection of citizens - we see this as our duty to society,” said Tino Wieser, member of Palmers’ board.
