NEW ZEALAND – The R&D team at sportswear giant Adidas say its technology behind the new playing jersey for the New Zealand national rugby union team will help improve the team’s posture, stability and ultimately, performance.

The improved strength of the jersey is said to lie in the way the fabric is digitally woven together, reducing the likelihood of ripping. This also claims to help retain the jersey's shape under the physical demands of rugby.
