MARYLAND – Under Armour has launched three new lines of smart running shoes which have tracking sensors embedded into their soles, meaning they can actually inform wearers of their fatigue levels and can recommend workouts or runs based on collected data.

The shoes are part of the company’s existing ‘Speed Form’ line, and offer workout recommendations based on fatigue levels before exercise. Using a new ‘Jump Test’ feature, a series of six jumps are evaluated for timing and duration thanks to sensors integrated into the shoes. These sensors automatically sync with a corresponding Under Armour app.
