MUMBAI – Government subsidies and new regional partnerships have been announced at the 2017 edition of Techtextil India, as the Indian government looks to strengthen its grasp on the technical textiles marketplace. A government spokesman told journalists at the event in Mumbai that in the last five year period the Indian textiles sector has seen 12.4 per cent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) and sees technical textiles as a ‘sunrise industry’ for India.
