LAS VEGAS – Bigelow Aerospace has announced that it has established a new subsidiary company to launch a fabric space station by 2021. Bigelow Space Operations (BSO) says the fabric space station would have two and a half times the pressurised volume of the international space station.

The fabric station is known to the company as B330 and will be made up of condensed layers of soft fabrics that inflate in space. The company says it aims for one rocket to take an entire fabric station into space, followed by a crew that will expand the fabric.
