QUÉBEC – A Canadian initiative led by TechniTextile Québec, the CTT Group, the Fashion Cluster mmode and the Workforce Sector Committee in Textile (CSMO Textile) has set its sights on boosting the prominence of digital textile solutions in Québec’s textiles sector by visiting the ongoing ITMA trade show in search of inspiration.

The four firms, which manage a total of 28 native partnering companies, forged the government-funded initiative in September of last year, and are now hopeful of upturning the country’s industry fortunes by prioritising a shift to IoT-connected solutions and improving the educational infrastructure around the topic.

Chris Remington caught up with Technitextile general manager Dany Charest, Valério Izquierdo, the vice president of CTT Group’s Textile Laboratory, and mmode’s deputy CEO and task force manager Mathieu St-Arnaud Lavoie to find out more.
