SAINT-BARTHELEMY-D’ANJOU – French president Emmanuel Macron has toured the site of one of the country’s largest manufacturers and vowed to rapidly scale the production of vital personal proction equipment (PPE). 

Kolmi-Hopen, a subsidiary of Canadian conglomerate Medicom, is amongst the four major manufacturers of N95 efficiency face masks in France, along with Segetex-EIF, Macopharma and Paul Boyé Technologies.

It’s this collective of firms that are being called upon to produce upwards of 10 million masks a week once, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
