RONSE – Textile treatment specialist Devan Chemicals has teamed up with carpet manufacturer Anker and binding solutions provider Shark to develop what they say is the world’s first flame-retardant aviation carpet.
Anker kick-started the venture and identified Shark Solutions as a viable partner and provider of a recycled binder that improves the finished product’s sustainability credentials.
Devan – whose treatments provide antimicrobial and health benefits, amongst many other things – was then recruited to finish the carpet with its flame-retardant solution.
