DALLAS – The Synthetic Yarn and Fabric Association (SYFA), an industry non-profit, has teamed up with Gaston College to establish a scholarship fund that it’s hoped will attract more students into the field of textile technology.

Starting in the spring of 2023, the fund will cover US$500 of one student’s tuition each year.

SYFA president Hardy Sullivan commented: “US manufacturers need a talented workforce with the skills, know-how, and motivation to implement state-of-the-art technologies. Scholarships are a proven way for attracting talent that, otherwise, might have taken a different path.”
