LONDON – Research from Kingston University in London suggests that advanced textile technologies deployed in care homes could improve the health and wellbeing of people suffering from dementia. This is because a recent interdisciplinary study, published in the Journal of Textile Design Research and Practice, found that people living with the condition responded positively to tailored Multi-Sensory Environments (MSEs) which incorporated familiar textiles.
