BORAS - Luminescent textiles can be created by using bioluminescent reaction systems found in nature, according to new research from a scientist at the University of Borås in Sweden.

Sweta Iyer says that her doctoral thesis in the field of textile technology at the University of Borås has implications for a variety of different areas in society.

Entitled 'Luminescent textiles using biobased products – A bioinspired approach', it examines how luminescence phenomena in nature can be used to create luminescent textiles.
