HONG KONG – The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has won several awards at this year’s TechConnect World Innovation Conference and Expo, including in the areas of material science and biotechnology.

Notably, the firm has been recognised for a new moisture-absorbing fabric technology said to be cheaper and simpler than existing methods, and a temperature-controllable mask.

Professor Christopher Chao, vice president of research and innovation at PolyU, said: “The university is delighted that our research teams continue to bring superior award-winning technologies to the world and have been recognised at this global event for the sixth consecutive year.”
