HELSINKI – The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has launched a new database in a bid to further understand the impact of the far-growing nanomaterials sector. The European Union Observatory for Nanomaterials (EUON) has been designed to increase knowledge of the sector and to provide information on where these materials are used, what research is being undertaken on them, and what are the risks of using nanomaterials which are currently being implemented in a variety of industries including the textile sector.
