MILAN – The Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers has launched a new project which sets out to establish a common language between textile machinery, via a new digital certification.

A model for this has been developed by the Manufacturing Group of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, which is based on machine and process production management data.

“The goal of this project by ACIMIT is to work together and exploit a competitive advantage proposed to its member companies, in turn allowing for a rethinking of KPI (Key Performance Indicators) measurement systems adopted within each individual company, and adapting them to a standard language shared by a wider community,” said Marco Taisch, an expert at the institute in digital transformational processes in the manufacturing sector.
