GIZA – The Cotton Egypt Association (CEA) has received backing from retail giants John Lewis and Dunelm after developing an accreditation process that traces the authenticity of Egyptian Cotton. Working with testing and verification body, Bureau Veritas, CEA will extract DNA from cotton fibres, yarns and fabrics to identify and subsequently rid the supply chain of falsely labelled Egyptian cotton goods.
