MINNESOTA – Material innovator 3M has announced that it will launch its new Xerogel insulation technology in the coming months.

3M Thinsulate Xerogel is made using 60 per cent post-consumer recycled material, and aligns with the firm’s broader sustainability ambitions.  

Earlier this year, the company announced a pledge of US$1 billion over the next 20 years to accelerate environmental targets addressing carbon emissions, water usage and material impacts.
