NEWARK – Following the acquisition of DuPont Biomaterials, Chinese manufacturing group Huafon has established a new dedicated bio-based solutions business called Covation Biomaterials.  

The company is said to combine “decades of world-class science and engineering expertise with new investment and manufacturing capabilities”, and will take possession of products including Sorona, Susterra and Zemea.

“By collaborating with forward-thinking value chain partners and brands globally, we will continue to push the boundaries of innovation and sustainability to deliver high-performance biomaterials at scale,” said Michael Saltzberg, CEO of the new entity.
