MANCHESTER - Sportswear brand Umbro has released the first football boot developed using performance fabric manufacturer Texon's “revolutionary” patented jacquard weaving technology.
Umbro claims the Velocita Alchemist football boots combine performance with sustainability by offering new levels of elasticity and stability from recycled polyester yarns.
The boot's single layer upper is said to offer multi-zonal stretch for comfort and a biomimicked bee-wing structure for strength and support. Its TPU-coated yarns are designed to enable extra grip, assisting ball control, along with full upper water-resistance finishing.
