STATESBORO - Chemical PET recycling company Revalyu is to invest US$50 million in building a new plant in Statesboro, Georgia, eventually able to recycle 200 tonnes of used PET waste per day.

Revalyu, formerly known as Perpetual Technologies, says the new plant - due to be commissioned in 2024 - represents the first phase of a strategic expansion into the US.

The company, which depolymerises PET waste into its chemical building blocks, previously built and commercialised the world’s first glycolysis recycling plant in Nashik, India.
