TIVERTON – British technical textile manufacturer Heathcoat has launched a range of flame retardant fabrics for children’s fancy dress clothing at the ongoing Premiere Vision exhibition in Paris. The ‘Heathcoat 1808’ range uses the company’s ‘Flare-Free’ FR treatment and ‘Zero4’ technology – a processing system which uses less than 20 parts per million of formaldehyde in fabric finishing. Formaldehyde, according to Heathcoat, is the key contributor to flammability issues found in children’s clothing.
