SAN FRANCISCO – Global technology company Apple has been granted a patent for ‘Fabric-Based Items with Environmental Control Elements’, foreshadowing its entry into the smart performance apparel sector.
One of 85 newly granted patents for the company by the US Patent and Trademark Office, it highlights a possible future smart sportswear line, which could monitor a user's health, biometrics and environmental conditions.
