BRISBANE - Australian activewear brand Lorna Jane has been fined for falsely advertising that its LJ Shield Activewear used a technology capable of making the ‘transfer of all pathogens impossible’ and that the range was able to ‘eliminate the COVID-19 virus on contact with the fabric.’ 

The Australian Federal Court ordered the brand to pay US$2.6 million (AU$5 million) after ruling the company’s claim was “exploitative, predatory, and potentially dangerous.”
