MOSCOW – The Russian Defense Ministry is developing a brand new combat uniform made from ultra-light, high-strength woven aramid textiles as part of its new Ratnik-3 combat kit. The new vests are based on an extremely hard boron-carbon ceramic material also used in tank armour, and will protect critical body regions and reduce the overall uniform weight by between 20 – 30 per cent.
