ATLANTA – Technical yarns specialist, Filspec has launched its new WorkFil flame resistant textile technology at this year’s Techtextil North America, in Atlanta, Georgia. The fabric, which is designed to emulate the aesthetic of denim, is a blend of flame-resistant viscose, meta-acrylic and meta-aramid fibres which are said to protect against direct exposure to flames.
Variations of the core technology have also been created to offer tear-resistance and cut-resistance benefits, which the company says can be adapted for a number of PPE and workwear applications.
