SHANGHAI – Invista, which owns brands including Cordura, has announced plans to add an additional 40,000 tonnes of nylon 6,6 polymer capacity at its plant at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP).

The site, which currently facilitates the production of 150,000 tonnes of nylon 6,6, will undergo construction over the next year and will begin begin production with larger volumes as of 2020.
