AACHEN – A team of researchers from RWTH Aachen University have designed and developed a novel, heatable, polymer mesh stent that’s self-cleaning and targets tumour cells for destruction.

The new device is heated in a controlled manner with the help of nanoparticles and could be a replacement for some commercially available textile stents in medicine that have to be replaced regularly.
