BARCELONA - American computer software company Adobe has showcased the beta version of Textile Designer, a plug-in for its popular Photoshop programme, at ITMA.

The updated tool is designed to offer time and cost savings in the textile design process by eliminating the need to manually search and match textile colour samples with swatches or colour codes.

The company has also announced its collaboration with both colour management technology company Datacolor alongside colour standards and communication tool provider Color Solutions International (CSI). This will allow it to use Datacolor’s ColorReaderPro, a colour lookup tool, and the CSI ColorWall, a third-party colour standards library. Kieran Mitchell reports live from Barcelona.
