WEST LAFAYETTE – Researchers at Purdue University in Indiana, USA, have developed a stretchable sensor which is capable of continuously monitoring human contact by using a fabricated piezoresistive elastomer that collects electrical data correlating to the strain or pressure applied. According to the researchers, iSoft sensors could have future applications in functional apparel, health monitoring technologies and virtual reality equipment.
