CAMBRIDGE – A research team at Harvard University claim to have developed an ultra-sensitive yet machine washable strain sensor that’s been proven effective when embedded in fabrics at recognising gestures via machine learning.  

Published in Nature, the development of this strain sensor has been tipped for use in applications such as smart apparel and soft robotic systems.
