WEST LAFAYETTE – A team of researchers at Purdue University have developed a method of fabricating textiles with electronic circuits that that’ve managed to protect during wash cycles.  

The team is keen to advance the roll electronics play in our lives by incorporating them within clothes, enabling them to monitor health data and fast track digital communication.

“Such wearable devices, powered by ubiquitous Wi-Fi signals, will make us not only think of clothing as just a garment that keeps us warm but also as wearable tools designed to help us in our daily life,” said Ramses Martinez, an assistant professor at Purdue’s School of Industrial Engineering.
