Researchers from Northeastern University in the US have managed to extract colour-changing cells from cuttlefish and squid and integrate them with textile fibres via melt extrusion. It is thought that this technological advance could one-day play a key role in the development of the next generation of camouflage apparel. Chris Remington speaks with lead researcher, Leila Deravi.
