LEEDS – As part of a newly established £1.75 million textile innovation facility, the University of Leeds, in the UK, will introduce a cutting-edge 3D weaving loom, said to be the first of its kind in Britain.

The machine, which will be used to develop prototypes for industry-wide applications in sectors including aerospace and healthcare, was unveiled upon the finalisation of what has been a major year-long upgrade to the university’s School of Design.
