MILAN – The Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) has announced that sales during the period April to June 2019 fell by 19 per cent comparative to the same period in 2018. This, it’s thought, is because of the timing of ITMA – at which ACIMIT members represented the highest portion of exhibitors from a single nation – and much of the industry awaiting the debut of new innovative solutions.

That said, ACIMIT president Alessandro Zucchi now says that off the back of a successful ITMA showcase, there is “a clear sign of optimism for Italy’s textile machinery sector,” which could boost member sales over the coming months to end the year positively.
