SHANGHAI - More than 1,400 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions have so far applied to take part in the combined ITMA Asia and CITME textile machinery trade show to be held from 19th to 23rd November in China.

Six exhibition halls of Shanghai's National Convention and Exhibition Center grossing over 160,000 square metres have been booked, according to show owners CEMATEX and its partners, the Sub-Council of the Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and China Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC).

Exhibitors have reportedly been attracted by the better than expected performance of China’s economy. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently increased its forecast for China's GDP growth to 5.2% in 2023, from a previous projection of 4.4% last October.
