WASHINGTON – The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has reached a unanimous affirmative decision in its investigations of both China and India, following a petition last year from American manufacturers which accused Asian suppliers of dumping copious amounts of polyester textured yarn in the US market, stifling domestic trade.

This decision, to be published this month, will see new antidumping and countervailing duty orders put in place to thwart the threat undercut price points would otherwise pose to native manufacturers. This includes a new cash deposit system that will be outstanding for suppliers looking to tap into American trade.
