GOODYEAR – Sportswear giant Nike is set to open an Air Manufacturing Innovation facility in Goodyear, Arizona, with construction work beginning later this summer and production of Nike Air soles expected to start in early 2020.

Each Nike Air sole innovation since 2008 has contained at least 50 per cent recycled manufacturing waste, with more than 57 million pounds of this waste being diverted from landfills between May 2018 and May 2019 alone.
