CHELTENHAM – Advanced materials supplier Versarien has signed a commercial agreement with Asian conglomerate MAS through which the pair will develop high-performance garments integrating graphene ink.
In July, Versarien signed a Letter of Intent which what was at that time an unknown apparel manufacturing partner. At this time it was said the duo would leverage the former’s graphene finish to impart new functionalities within active wear.
Neill Ricketts, chief executive of Versarien has now said: “This is the first demonstration of our graphene commercialisation strategy with a major global partner moving from the stage of having a collaboration agreement, through signing a letter of intent, to entering into a full commercial partnership agreement.”
